Camerata Florentina

A finales del S. XVI, se produjo el primer intento de recuperación de la música de la Antigüedad.

En Florencia, bajo las alas del Conde de Bardi, se formó la que se dio en llamar Camerata Florentina, un grupo de músicos y poetas cuyo principal objetivo era revolucionar deliberadamente el transcurso de la historia a través de la música, devolviéndola al lugar de donde fue arrancada.

Nuestros ancestros no percibían la realidad de forma fragmentada como nosotros. La música formaba entonces parte del Todo. Y al Todo se propusieron devolverla los numinosos miembros de la Camerata.

La música había sido corrompida, al igual que había sido corrompida la existencia. El tiempo lineal había ganado la batalla y Ouroboros había sido descabezado.

Girolamo Mei pudo contemplar el abismo y lo que vio guió a los miembros de la Camerata, dispuestos a recuperar los modos antiguos.
